The Virginia Garden is a ready-made planting guide for a sunny, sheltered poolside border. Each 5 × 2 m section contains 15 plants and can be repeated to suit the length of your space, with a separate 1.5 m clear stone walkway between the bed and the pool.

Is this garden right for your space?
You will need a broadly level planting strip at least 5 metres long and 2 metres deep beside your existing pool terrace, with sunny conditions, freely draining soil and access to fresh irrigation water. Choose a warm, sheltered setting protected from severe frost and strong salt spray.
The design repeats in complete 5 metre sections to suit longer poolside borders. Keep a separate 1.5 metre clear stone walkway between the pool edge and the planting, allowing room for flowers, grasses and rounded shrubs to mature within the bed.
The guide includes an irrigation layout and simple instructions for connecting a Rain Bird timer to an outside tap already prepared for irrigation, with one continuous tube and individual drippers positioned at each plant’s rootball.

The design is supplied as shown. Plants, materials, delivery, ground preparation and installation are purchased separately. Site visits, personal advice and changes to the planting or layout are separate services. Construction, lighting and drainage drawings are not included.
